[olpc-help] How do I tell the XO X server to use the fonts t

I went after this like a bull in a china shop and tried replacing "-fp" and "built-in" with spaces in the /usr/sbin/olpc-dm file.  The FontPath setting in /etc/X11/xorg.conf did register, but using the xset command to set the FontPath fails with the same error message.

Even though the new FontPath was registered, no new fonts appeared after restarting the xserver.  And further ideas?
