No particular reason except these:
1. I found a good community of people working on it with good
documentation, and I needed help to get my bearings.
2. I wanted a good file manager (Thunar) and a nice text editor
(Mousepad). They both came with Xfce.
I've learned enough now to get a lighter WM working, so I might try that
next. Heck, this is a toy and I can always get back where I started.
Do you have brightness and volume control? Do you have an MP3 player?
Tell us more.
