Have a look at this page (so I can get a feel for what you're seeing).

Is there an access point on the network screen which is yours?

Is the circle outline white?  If the outline of your access point is
white, you are already connected. You don't need to enter your SSID or
your password.

If the outline is not white, click (once) on it and wait for it to
stop flashing.
