When you say 3/4 view, do you mean the view where the frame shows up on top of whatever activity you're doing?

If that's it, then even if you're not exactly going into the corners, disabling the "hot corners" could help. There's instructions in the tips & tricks forum:

If by 3/4 view you mean something else, I don't know.
