[olpc-help] external storage question

It seems to me, since the xo has limited internal storage, that external storage (such as provided by gmail) would be often used. When connected online, from the journal, could a script be written to make it easy to drag journal entries onto a gmail folder much like they can be moved from the journal to the sd presently?
