I'll save you the trouble.  No. its not graceful.  In the currently 
released builds at 15% the red low battery light comes on.  Its up to 
the user to shutdown at that point or plugin to external power.

At around 7-9% the battery voltage begins to flirt with the lower limits 
of what can maintain a working system.  If you cross that thershold then 
the EC turns off the power rails.  No warning just instant off.

If you hold the power button down for about 4 seconds the EC will also 
drop the power rails.

Better power handling will show up in Update.1 but graceful shutdown on 
low battery is probably an Update.2 item.
