 If the power cord is attached amid an fs-save operation, the fs-save UI
 freezes, but the LED on the target media continues flickering.  It's
 unclear what state fs-save is in, or whether it's still making progress at
 that point.

 The fs-save UI also freezes at unpredictable moments if the target media
 is ext2-formatted, and often beyond the point where the screen is full of
 red blocks.
