Comment:

 An XO-1 build is not planned for 14.1.0, lowering priority.

 Given that the problem eventually occurs regardless of whether the file is
 a symlink or not, it seems likely this is the previously known problem of
 graphics memory exhaustion on XO-1, and the change to symlinks is
 perturbing font load order.
