did not work. Reloading with "modprobe -r zforce; modprobe zforce
forceload=1" did bring it back and I could use touch interaction (the
cursor hiding did not work though).

The touchscreen was as well not present after reboot. I
[http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XO-4#Software_upgrade_considerations upgraded
the firmware to 0.0.0.10] and now touch interaction works after booting.
