 the mouse fine but touch interaction does not work. This machine has just
 been started, no further interaction besides some s/r cycles.

 Paul found in the logs that it failed to detect its touchscreen when it
 booted.
 {{{

 skipping driv
 pgf:  er load
 pgf: Mar 7 09:01:04 xo-1e-87-2f kernel: zforce: set forceload=1 to
 override
 pgf:  Mar  7 09:01:05 xo-1e-87-2f kernel: zforce_i2c_probe: failed
 }}}

 Trying to reload the module with "modprobe -r zforce; modprobe zforce" did
 not work. Reloading with "modprobe -r zforce; modprobe zforce forceload=1"
 did bring it back and I could use touch interaction (the cursor hiding did
 not work though).

 zforce firmware version "dmesg | grep zforce" is 0.0.0.9.
