Comment(by greenfeld):

 The issue here (previously discussed on IRC earlier this week) is that the
 charging current was the usual ~1.5 A while something reported cooling was
 going on at the same time (which should show close to zero amps moving in
 or out of the battery since external power is present).

 So something in the state machine or reporting logic seems to be messed
 up, but we have yet to reproduce the issue.
