Old description:

New description:

 too many kernel messages, apparently leads to inability to return from
 text to graphics.

 The messages scrolled past too quickly to be evaluated against #12536, but
 the pattern did look similar.

 It was more that once you switch to this virtual console, there was no way
 to regain control of the laptop using the keyboard.  I could not switch
 out again; there was no response.  I was able to recover using the power
 button held.
