 Tracking upstream bug ticket that has a usability impact on our release:

 Issue: Pressing and holding some keys will raise an extended key palette
 with alternative characters variations (e.g. accent marks, related
 characters). Once this extended palette is open you can dismiss/cancel it
 (with no character inserted) by tapping out side of the palette. Currently
 only the areas below and to the right dismiss the palette, above and left
 have no effect. This gives the impression the OSK has locked up, until to
 tap in a working area.
