#11682: Corrupted bootfw files are fatal to secure boot; ecfw updates are not
---------------------------------+------------------------------------------
Reporter: greenfeld | Owner: wmb at firmworks.com
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: 1.75-firmware
Component: ofw - open firmware | Version: Development build as of this date

---------------------------------+------------------------------------------
When an XO-1.75 is locked in secure mode, an error processing bootfw.zip
(corrupted signature, missing signature or image, etc.) results an XO-1.75
immediately showing an unhappy face and scheduling a power off 30 seconds
later.
But if ecfw.zip is similarly corrupted, we get a message that the length
of the firmware file is incorrect, and the boot process continues.
Seen in Q4D04.
