Comment:

 Yes, unfortunately we do have this issue as we have had ever since we
 added GNOME (same thing going from 2010 -> 2011 releases). Thanks for
 noting this more prominently in the release notes. I merged the two
 mentions of this and put it in the top of the updating section, so that it
 will also cover the USB update method (to be added today). Unfortunately
 thats the best we can do at the moment, apart from dream of a slimmer
 GNOME and slimmer Fedora...
