Comment(by wad):

 I suspect filesystem corruption, as an attempt to copy the olpc.fth from
 the eMMC to a USB key resulted in a very long transfer starting (aborted
 before completion).

 The image on the eMMC was os20, and had shown no previous signs of file
 corruption.
