Comment:

 That message is introduced by commit 94bf241155 "i2c-gpio: let DT force an
 I2C bus number".

 Assuming it's that commit responsible for this failure, I guess either the
 DT needs to be changed so that the dcon also provides a devalias, or maybe
 the lack of devalias should not be an error condition, but should just
 fall back on whatever happened before.
