 I'm not having any luck.  I have a unit that reports it has a Synaptics
 touchpad wiht the stock kernel but when I install the above kernel (on
 os8) I don't get any touchpad activity and /proc/bus/input/devices shows
 no sign of a Synaptics device anymore.
