Comment:

 I looked into adding a heat-spreader test based on temperature difference
 between idling and CPU-busy, like the one we have for 1.5.  It didn't pan
 out - the temperature rise is only about 3 degrees - barely resolvable -
 even without the heat spreader.

 I'm going to close this ticket, as the ideas for which it is a placeholder
 have failed to materialize.
