 Yeah, earlier I had the same conclusion -- that it'd be easier to rename
 them in kernel (or in udev, as I attempted) than to fix all the random
 userlands that want to fiddle with hwclock.

 Not sure if there's a sane, long-term stable, upstreamable way for us to
 force the choice of name. Actually, can the mmp-rtc ask the kernel for a
 name prefix other than "rtc"? Or is that hardcoded when you set the device
 type?
