 I guess they are hoping for hotplug after boot.  I've a modern point of
 sale USB barcode scanner here.  On both XO-1.5 Q3A56 and XO-1.75 A2
 Q4A13h, data from the scanner appears at the ok prompt, but only if the
 scanner was already plugged in at the time OpenFirmware was started.
 Please find out if it is hotplug they want?  Otherwise find out what the
 problem is.
