#10788: Scratch causes additional XO 1.5 ALSA mixer control to appear

Using Scratch can cause additional ALSA mixer control to appear. There
may be other ways to do this as well:

  1. Boot/Reboot an XO 1.5.
  2. Start alsamixer from the console and <Tab> to the Capture tab. Note
that there are only two controls present: "Capture" and "Analog Mic
 Boost".
  3. Close alsamixer.
  4. Start the Scratch Activity. Go to the Sounds tab and click the
"Record" button next to new sound.
  5. Press the red recording button and record something from within
scratch. Stop recording and play it back. Note the audio level seems a
 bit low.
  6. Repeat step 2. You will now have three capture-related controls
present: "Capture", "Analog Mic Boost", and "Digital". The last item is
only set to 50% of its maxmium. Raising it to 100% increases the volume
of recorded audio significantly (although I don't know how high it should
 be).

I need to setup a 10.1.3 system to see if this control appears at all, and
if so at what level it defaults to.
