 I thought this had been solved, I certainly tested a working fix a number
 of months back, perhaps it landed in Dextrose and didn't get pushed
 upstream? If I remember correctly the main fix was to tweak the fill and
 stroke icon update code so that the update didn't get called twice per
 attempted frame.
