There is no need to write this into gconf for this to apply in Sugar.

I'd like not to have to set sugar's timezome post build, think sugar
should default to what the system is set as, like the behaviour is for GMT
only.
On a slightly different note, once in the field how would you change the
timezone so gnome's clock applet displays correctly for the timezome your
in? Is that not based on what is in /etc/localtime? For F14, has sugar-
control-panel gained the ability to change the system time and not just
export $TZ? for sugar?
