Comment:

 Reproduced.

 On local display (firefox run locally), does not occur on XO-1 os22, or
 XO-1.5 os22, but does occur on XO-1.75 os9.

 On remote display (desktop ssh -X firefox), does not occur from XO-1.5
 os22, but does occur from XO-1.75 os9.

 Symptom seems unique to the X client execution environment of XO-1.75.
