 Works good with your kernel 2.6.39-33719-g9bfa226-dirty.

 During test /proc/interrupts shows irq 72 twsi pxa_i2c-i2c.5 activity, a
 total of 121222 interrupts.  An strace shows 10100 opens of
 /sys/devices/platform/lis3lv02d/position.

 Got source for acctest?  I'd like to change it to exit non-zero on fail.
 I'd be happy to host this within the runin git repository if that might
 help you find a place for it.
