 If development goes forward for F14 we should have DRI and Branch_AGP
 commands enabled.  These are IRQ driven so video accelerated activities
 will result in interrupts.  Because we batch commands we won't necessarily
 see "more" or "less" video activity.  If all we want to know is, "Is the
 screen updating consistently?" then yeah I think that will be detectable
 by watching /proc/interrupts.

 There is the XResource extension that we may be able to tap into to get
 some metrics of some sort.

 Those are my current ideas to add.  I will try to think about it a bit
 more and see if I can come up with anything better.
