Comment:

 Thanks.  Our hardware design drops power to the USB ports on suspend.
 This causes a mouse or keyboard to lose power.  Therefore the laptop does
 not wake from sleep as a result of external mouse or keyboard input.  This
 makes the experience inconsistent.  Since OLPC OS 10.x.x we have disabled
 idle suspend when an external mouse or keyboard is attached.  We don't
 plan to change this.
