 With the olpc-au builds we have been able to provide proxy support by
 patching sugar[1] to export the http_proxy variable for sugar's activity
 updater. This patch also provides support for yum by populating an
 external file for yum to reference. There is code for gnome to populate
 the same external file[2]. I have os-builder insert an
 include=/tmp/yum.conf.mod line to /etc/yum.conf[3] or use an external
 script to recreate an yum.conf file upon boot[4]. I like to have this
 upstream, think this would be useful for those who need proxy support in
 their builds.
