 my mistake -- i thought i remembered that the synaptics userspace driver
 was more generic than that.  i don't recall why we aren't using the
 sentelic driver either -- i think it may have been release schedule
 pressure.

 it's frustrating that we have to keep playing catchup with hardware
 changes to a platform we supposedly control.  :-)

 the new "ImExPS/2 Generic Explorer Mouse" touchpad on the 1.75 B1 units is
 using the ImExPS/2 protocol, and the mousedev.c driver.
