Actually that news update probably was not relevant, since it related only
to the synaptics hardware driver.
I don't see how the synaptics userspace driver (which supports touchpads
in general, not just synaptics ones, I assume this is what you were
referring to) helps us with Sentelic. synaptics(userspace) only supports
absolute input devices, and sentelic(kernel) only supports relative mode.
sentelic(kernel) does have a sysfs node to disable tap-to-click, which may
help us here. I can't remember if there was something from blocking us
from using that driver, or if it simply is a project that needs
exploration and testing before including in a release.
