That would be easy to achieve.

Strongly disagree. I know at least one deployment area in Australia where
they have asked for support for wireless networks that do not broadcast an
ESSID. (Jonathan Nalder, Queensland department of Education and Jerry
Vonau, olpc-au 2010-09-01). I don't know what solution they have come up
with.
