 would this work differently if machine B were simply not present at all
 when A did the sharing, and was introduced to the network (either
 physically, or by being booted) after A shared the activity?  i.e., is
 this problem peculiar to idle-suspend, or is it just an issue of the
 machine being "absent" during the share operation.
