 Sorry that was a mistake on my part.  I had also fixed the DCON on the xo
 1.5 so pretty boot was working.  Booting to a text display still exhibits
 the problem.  I did find out what is causing the problem but I am not sure
 why yet.  If you boot without boot-anim then the X server is getting
 started on TTY 2 instead of 3 you can verify this in the Xorg log grep
 'using VT' /var/log/Xorg.0.log  if you then ssh into the box and kill the
 X server it comes back on VT 3 and everything is functioning normally.
