 heh.  i wouldn't call it dangerous -- i'd just say that it exposes a bug.
 the ul-warning command exists because that's the command shutdown uses to
 display that screen.  we don't see the bug in the shutdown case because,
 as mentioned in the last line of the Description, we've switched away from
 X to a VT by the time ul-warning is invoked.
