 Mount doesn't trigger fsck (it can't).

 However, what extfs does have is a mechanism for detecting unclean
 shutdowns and replaying the log (this is part of the kernel mount process
 and unrelated to fsck) as part of the mount implementation. And yes
 sometimes this does take a few seconds, especially on our SD cards. So, as
 a separate ticket, perhaps we could have a request that provides some
 visual indication that the mount is taking place because sometimes it
 takes a few seconds.

 Even so, we are still left with the (separate) fsck questions afterwards.
