 Are you using mplayer to test with?

 Running mplayer -vo xv tv://

 After about 5 secs ( I am visually watching the clock ) I get

 v4l2:  589 frames successfully processed, -588 frames dropped.

 This is verified by the via-camera module.

 viafb-camera viafb-camera: Release: 595 hard, 595 thread, 589 frames

 sfrate reads that the frame rate is 1/30  which would hopefully mean we
 are handling
 150 frames.

 Am I misreading something?
