 We're also seeing this quite often just after we upgrade to our F11-XO1
 release.

 On some laptops, the problem persists across reboots. In two cases, I
 could resolve the issue by pulling the AC and battery, which points at the
 EC.

 I don't have a serial cable here, and anyway these laptops probably don't
 have the connector soldered on the board.
