 I have just pushed a pair of patches enabling controls for gain and
 exposure.  Feel free to play with them; a couple of things should be kept
 in mind, though.  One is that tweaking gain or exposure will disable
 autogain or autoexposure, respectively; once you set a value, that's what
 the camera sticks with.  I've implemented the autogain and exposure_auto
 controls so that the automatic mode can be reenabled if desired.

 The other thing is that there's still some state in there.  Set the gain
 to 50, then to 200, then to 50, and you might not get the same image you
 had before.  Omnivision works in strange and mysterious ways.

 The v4l2ucp utility is a relatively easy way to tweak both values; it's in
 the Fedora repository.

 I posted this here because it relates to the original request to be able
 to play with the gain.  Any other controls will be discussed on #10052
 instead.
