Comment:

 I suspect that the problem is caused by CPU speed variations that result
 in variance in the delay between starting the input stream and starting
 the output stream.  To eliminate this issue, I used the hardware stream
 synchronization feature and adjusted the analysis delays to account for
 the new shorter-and-more-predictable output to input lag.

 Fixed by svn 1761.  Test in http://dev.laptop.org/~wmb/q3a33k.rom
