 I disagree with your conclusion that this symptom is due to your use of
 python-psyco in conjunction with Record-82; because my tests that
 reproduced the symptom were with os204 without any changes except the
 chown to fix #10186 followed by ''Software update''.

 What is surprising about what you write is that the symptom has gone away
 ... but this could be that something else you've done has changed the
 timing of the problem, or not enough attempts to reproduce.

 I'm still able to reproduce the symptom.
