Comment:

 Reproduced.  The exact sequence is:

  * ensure there is no document in your journal that will be opened if you
 start the Write activity,
  * start the Write activity from the activity ring view,
  * type altgr-q and a greek letter will appear,
  * type s and a q will appear,
  * type h and a f will appear.

 Closing the Write activity with Ctrl-Q works.  Resuming the saved entry
 from the journal returns to the symptom.  Deleting the entry from the
 journal restores normal operation.
