 I think we can't make decisions on behalf of imaginary deployments without
 talking to them. As of 10.2.0 with olpc-os-builder, it is now trivial to
 make the kinds of changes we are discussing here, either ourselves or by
 getting deployments to do it.

 In the mean time, we just need to satisfy wad's production requirements,
 which is enough space for his tests, right?
