 Tested with Q2E42E.

Out of a dozen tries (using five different XO-1 machines), eleven
(re)booted "normally" (without stalling) while the USB hub remained
attached to the XO. As far as I am concerned, Q2E42E has fixed my #10042
 problem.

The odd situation happened only once (and did not repeat), on an XO-1
where the external USB hub had an ethernet adapter plugged in (in addition
to the keyboard and trackball). That time, the XO-1 (with Q2E42E) that
was running the boot sequence spontaneously powered itself down (at a
point just before it should have issued the "Type the ESC key ... "
 message).
