 Any changes you make could and should go upstream (i.e. F14, x.org
 upstream) before being backported. Thats all. But are you saying you have
 made no changes, you have just rebuilt a specific unmodified upstream
 geode version for F11 that you want included in the next build?

 As for the virtual change, can you explain it a bit more? I see that the
 virtual entry defines how much memory is allocated for certain things. But
 rotation can already happen without it, suggesting that it already has
 enough memory in that respect.
