 A test with a vanilla F11 on Intel chipset netbook doesn't show this
 glitch.

 This is very likely related to the fact that we set our screen dimensions
 explicitly in xorg.conf . So another possible workaround would be to set
 DPI instead of screen dimensions in xorg.conf.
