 Good, that's exactly my point ... Sugar remembers only that you wanted to
 connect to an AP, not that you were successful in doing so.  This is a
 flaw in Sugar.

 Apart from the disconnect menu option, the only other way to turn off the
 autoconnect flag is to discard network history.  This is also a flaw in
 Sugar.
