Comment(by Quozl):
Tested, an AP was set up with WEP, and laptops running os117 were
associated. The AP was changed by removing encryption and then restarted.
The original symptom reported in this ticket happened:
* the wireless LEDs on the laptops turn off,
* there is a long delay of between 30 and 40 seconds,
* a key dialog appears,
* if a key is entered, the key dialog persists in appearing,
* if the key dialog is canceled, the connection attempt ceases,
* two icons for the same essid were visible in the mesh box, but with
different colours,
* manually reconnecting produced the same key dialog sequence.
Selecting ''discard network history'' button in the control panel, and
then clicking on the new icon for the open access point, worked fine, and
the network was connected. However, clicking on the existing icon caused
a key dialog, which could be canceled.
