Selected a USB stick.
Prepared q3a14 on one 1.5-B2, q3a15 on another.
Symptom confirmed; q3a14 cannot write from within emacs.
Fix confirmed; q3a15 can write from within emacs.
(Incidentally, the test sequence above may have mysteriously afflicted the
USB stick, in that "dir u:" on q2e41, q3a14 and q3a15 now show a single
file of name "USBC).@" instead of the remaining files seen by Linux. A
Linux system shows that the first file (ls -f) is "usbc)\0", which
suggests that OFW is stopping once a filename contains a NUL.)
