 Priority:  low              |             Milestone:  1.5-future
Component: network manager | Version: Development build as of this date
 Keywords:                   |           Next_action:  diagnose

 Scenario: an XO-1 with a USB wireless broadband modem, with dnsmasq, with
 the wireless ethernet configured for ad-hoc mode. Other hosts are able to
 join this network and use DHCP to obtain an IP address.

 Symptom: an XO-1.5 with build os46 or os47 does not obtain an address by
 DHCP, instead it adopts an RFC 3927 address (169.254.x.y) and therefore
 cannot communicate.

 Workaround:

 {{{
 /etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop
 ifconfig eth0 up
 iwconfig eth0 essid xo mode ad-hoc
 dhclient eth0
 }}}
 }}}
